Copy-Image

While the standard clipboard in Windows enables you to copy text, if you want to copy pictures, then you need to use a specialized tool. Then again, if you are not too keen to use an advanced clipboard tool, then you have other options out there.

Copy-Image is a lightweight utility that adds an option to copy an image to clipboard in the context menu, so you can seamlessly transfer the file without having to open it.

The setup is a quick process that does not require any special attention on your part. It is worth mentioning that the utility does not come with a graphic interface, but rather it takes the form of a copy to clipboard function that you can find in the context menu. The function is not always visible, but instead it becomes active when you right click on an image and consequentially, it does not distract you from other tasks.

You should know that the utility can copy one image at a time and hence, it does not have batch capabilities. As a result, you need to use the picture you just copies in the desired third-party software before you can copy another one. It would have been nice if the tool enables you to copy several images, as it would help you have a smoother workflow.

The highlight of the program stems from the fact that it eliminates an extra step that you would normally need to take for this operation. To be more precise, you no longer need to hit the Copy command, paste it in an editor and then actually copy the picture to the clipboard.
