Portable NoteBook 2.04
The advantages of being portable
Since this is the portable version of the program, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry.
You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to store your passwords on the breeze, without having to go through installation steps.
Portable NoteBook sports an uncluttered GUI that allows you to carry out most operations using just a few clicks. It integrates an intuitive behavior, so tweaking the dedicated parameters proves to be an easy task.
How it works
The program gives you the possibility to store passwords or other sensitive notes by simply entering the information in the primary panel or pasting it from the clipboard. What’s more, you are allowed to delete entries from the list, print the information, as well as clear the entire list with just one click.
Last but not least, you can encrypt the program by setting up a master password and back up the current settings and list with items to BAK file format, so you can easily restore data in case of different data loss scenarios.
On the downside, there’s no support for advanced features that could help you organize passwords with the aid of user-defined groups, use hotkeys, as well as add information about each password.
To sum things up, Portable NoteBook proves to be a simplistic piece of software that comes bundled with limited features for helping you store sensitive data.
