Portable FastCopy

This is the portable edition of FastCopy - a lightweight utility that enables you to copy files and folders while focusing on speed.

Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can just drop the executable file somewhere on the hard disk and click it to run.

It is also possible to move FastCopy to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to use it on any computer with minimum effort.

An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after program removal.

The interface is made from a regular window that's not attractive but easy to work with. You can point out the source and output directory using either the folder view or drag-and-drop support.

It is possible to copy or move items and overwrite existing ones, synchronize data by time and date, or copy only files with a different size or date. You can also ask FastCopy to verify data integrity on task completion, among other options. The app provides logging details in the main frame.

FastCopy is very light on the system resources, using very low CPU and RAM. It carries out a task very quickly and doesn't cause the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Too bad its interface is not visually appealing. Otherwise, FastCopy should please all users.
