Portable ZSoft Uninstaller

This is the portable edition of ZSoft Uninstaller, a fast and reliable application that can help you uninstall programs from your computer, as well as eliminate any leftover files or registry keys.

Since there is no installation involved, you can extract the app files to any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to run.

Another possibility is to save ZSoft Uninstaller to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to use it on any PC without installing anything beforehand.

An important aspect worth taking into account is that the Windows registry and Start menu do not get updated with new entries, and no extra files are created on the disk, leaving it clean after removal.

The GUI is split into multiple panels for viewing installed, analyzed and hidden programs. It is not necessarily appealing from the visual point of view, though.

The list with all installed programs is immediately loaded at startup. You can use a search function to locate a particular application, as well as view product information (e.g. developer name, version). Entries may be removed from the list to exclude them from future ZSoft Uninstaller runs.

It is possible to examine an installation and uninstall it by sending the files to the Recycle Bin or by removing them permanently. Meanwhile, from the list with hidden programs you can run a scanner on any leftover files to eliminate them and reduce clutter on the hard drive.

ZSoft Uninstaller also integrates a function that automatically finds and removes temporary files on any selected drive, along with filters (e.g. only show dead links or crapware), a tool for removing apps which automatically run at system startup, and a feature for locating and deleting empty folders.

The app has minimal impact on PC performance, since it runs on low CPU and RAM. We have not experienced any difficulties in our tests, as it did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. However, less experienced users with uninstaller applications may have some issues in trying to figure out all features. Nevertheless, ZSoft Uninstaller is pretty reliable when it comes to removing everything when uninstalling programs.
