Portable CSVed

This is the portable edition of CSVed - a nifty little program that allows you to manipulate CSV files, regardless of their separator. It is simple to use.

Since installation is not a requirement, you can just save CSVed on a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any computer.

An important aspect is that the Windows Registry does not get new entries, and no files remain on the hard drive after program removal.

The application is wrapped in a clean and simple interface, where the CSV content is shown in a list view. You can edit each record by using tools specialized in form or text editing, thus separating each item in the table by commas.

A wide range of options are available through CSVed. For example, you can modify the start row, add new items to the list, alter the column name, make entries hidden, select a new column order, and turn the display format into a date field, as well as insert random numbers and clear rows.

It is also possible to merge or cut columns, divide the entire table into multiple files (CSV or TXT format), add prefixes and suffixes, modify the data width limit, remove duplicate entries from the list, and add characters, to name but a few.

CSVed runs on a low-to-moderate amount of CPU and system memory, thus it shouldn't burden the computer's activity. We have not experienced any issues throughout our evaluation, since the utility did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. To sum it up, CSVed comes packed with plenty of options and configuration settings to all users who want to effortlessly modify the content of CSV files.
