Portable SE-TrayMenu

This is the portable edition of SE-TrayMenu, a program that simplifies the user's task of locating frequently accessed applications by creating shortcuts in a list strategically placed in the system tray.

It includes a few goodies. Apart from programs, users may add folders and URLs.

Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can put the program files anywhere on the hard disk and just click the EXE file to run.

There is also the possibility of saving the app to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, so you can use it on any machine without previously installing anything.

What's more, the app does not create new entries in the Windows registry or Start menu, leaving the disk clean after removal.

At startup, Portable SE-TrayMenu creates a system tray icon that pops up a transparent list with default shortcuts when hovering the mouse.

The configuration panel can be accessed from the context menu, where Portable SE-TrayMenu's true strength lies. Apps can be added, removed and edited in terms of path, arguments, title and shortcut, as well as arranged in any order.

As for the list layout, Portable SE-TrayMenu provides several patterns and lets you edit settings when it comes to number of columns, image size, item layout, text alignment, window border, along with item margin and spacing. The theme's colors can be changed as well, and it addresses all aspects of the layout (e.g. text color and font, border style and color).

It it possible to establish hotkeys for popping up the menu and bringing up the configuration screen. Portable SE-TrayMenu supports multiple languages and can be set to run at system startup until further notice.

The app has minimal impact on computer resources, so it's non-intrusive. With a highly customizable structure, Portable SE-TrayMenu indeed simplifies everyday tasks and it is geared toward all user levels.
