Portable Shutter Lite

Portable Shutter is a small, yet powerful utility, which helps people close their PCs when a user-input condition is met.

Since this is the portable version of Shutter, you are not required to install it on your hard drive. As a consequence, this software tool is not going to affect the Windows registry and Start menu/screen in any way whatsoever.

Aside from that, you can copy the program files to any location on the hard drive and run it from there by clicking the executable. It is also possible to use Portable Shutter on any computer you have access to, by dropping the last mentioned files to a USB flash drive or other similar portable storage device.

The simple and intuitive interface is split into two sections. The first enables you to choose triggering events, while the other lets you pick an action. For example, you can set up the computer to shutdown, reboot, logoff, sleep, mute the volume and so on, when Winamp stops, the user has been inactive for a user-input time, low battery or the lid closes.

From the settings panel, one can password-protect their computer, start event monitoring when application launches, disable notification messages at tray icon, minimize at launch, and the list goes on.

With extensive and neatly organized Help contents, many options to choose from, minimal usage of CPU and memory, as well as a good response time, Portable Shutter proves to be a useful piece of software. There were no bugs, errors or crashes registered during our tests.
