This is the portable version of SIW, a tool that can provide you with information about your computer system.

Since the software doesn't require installation, your Windows registry entries will remain unchanged. Plus, you can place SIW on an external device and run it on any computer.

The user interface of the program consists of a standard window in which you can view information about your software, hardware and network.

So, you can check out data about the operating system, system directories and files, installed programs, applications, security, licenses, accessibility, environment, regional settings, file associations, running processes, loaded DLLs, drivers, NT services and pipes and shared DLLs.

But you can also find out information about ActiveX, passwords, motherboard, BIOS, CPU, memory, sensors, devices, PCI, system slots, network adapters, video sound device, open ports, shares, RAS connections, and more.

In addition, you can print or export a report file (in the HTML, CSV, TXT or XML format), copy a particular text fragment to clipboard, as well as use the "Undo" and "Redo" buttons.

Furthermore, you can use other tools, such as a password revealer and MAC address changer. Plus, you can perform an online broadband speed scan, view CPU and memory usage, shutdown or restart the computer, and more.

The program uses a low-to-moderate amount of system resources. However, it doesn't include a help file. Also, some areas take several seconds to load (e.g. "Shared DLLs").

We haven't come across any problems during our tests. Since SIW offers very detailed information about a computer, we mainly recommend it to experienced users.
