The 'Recent' folder in Windows includes all the files that have been recently accessed by the currently logged in user, allowing the quick finding of a file or a document you edited or viewed lately.

However, an application such as Portable RecentViewerLite can help you perform this task much easier since it automatically extracts the contents of the aforementioned directory and displays it within a structured table, with sorting and filtering options.

This application can be used for quickly reopening any of the files you recently accessed. its main window displays all the shortcuts found in the 'Recent' folder, together with their extension, location on the disk, size, modification, creation and last access date.

Double-clicking on any of the files opens it using the default designated program, while the same action performed on the file path opens that particular folder in Windows Explorer.
