ADEX Shares is a COM component that enables application developers of Microsoft technology to get the list of Shares and Files and their permissions.

It has been developed using Microsoft ATL, providing users fast access to the file system.

The ADEX Shares Object Model is designed to provide programmers an intuitive interface to the file system.

Here are some key features of "ADEX Shares":

· Enumerate shares' folders and files including its properties and permissions on a local/remote computer within your application
· Connect to different shares using different user contexts
· Setup network connections for your application
· Manage mapped/free drives from within your application
· Get the Server Name for an IP Address
· Get the list of Servers in a domain
· Enumerate list of shares in the given computer
· Enumerate list of folders and files in the given share/local folder
· Get the Properties of a share, folder and file
· Manage Permissions (users & groups) of a share, folder and file
