Chromaprint is a library developed for the AcoustID project which is a able to extract the fingerprint from any audio file. The library is one of the core components of the AcousticID project and is used for developing applications such as the fpcalc tool.

You can use the Chromaprint library to implement the algorithm in your applications that calculate the audio fingerprint of raw uncompressed audio files.
