Display graphic information directly on terminals or store them in files with the help of this high-level scientific data plotting library






DISLIN is a development component that provides users with the possibility to display data graphically. It includes all of the necessary resources for both developers and scientists but it does not require for them to possess any knowledge of hardware features.

This high-level plotting library can be used for displaying data as curves, 3D-color and polar plots, graphs, and charts, as well as for maps, surfaces.

The tool can be used with various programming languages, including C, Fortran 77 and Fortran 90/95 while also allowing programmers to customize it for use with Java and C/C++.

With the help of DISLIN, graphic information can be displayed directly on graphic terminals and can be stored in metafiles. The tool includes support for a range of displays, including VGA, X Windows, Windows API and Tektronix.

The component can be used with multiple image formats, including BMP, CGM, GIF, GKSLIN, HPGL, PDF, PostScript, PNG, SVG, TIFF, and WMF.
