SimpleTerm is an advanced serial port test, simulation and data analysis tool. Use to log, view, analyse or automate RS232 communication or simply use as an ASCII Terminal for basic serial port communication and RS232 device configuration.

SimpleTerm will work with the serial/COM ports provided by your operating
system. Physically, these ports will be RS232 SUB D9 interfaces in most cases.
However, it is also possible to use SimpleTerm for other communication standards such as RS485 and RS422, which have a different electrical design to RS232 but follow the RS232 communication mechanism. Also supported are Virtual COM ports presented by e.g. USB-Serial adaptors & Bluetooth Serial Port Profile devices.

Requirements:

· Hardware requirements: Pentium processor or equivalent, 166 MHz or faster, minimum 32 MB RAM and one or more available COM ports. Note that additional cables may be required for connecting any equipment to be tested. SVGA monitor and graphics card capable of 256 colours and 800x600 pixel resolution.


Limitations:

· 15-day trial and 15 minutes of use per session - program closes after 15 minutes. However, restart the application to use it again!
· Viewing of data on the communication window is restricted to ASCII values that are greater than 5 and less than 192 (C0h). For any data outside this range it will be shown on screen as "" to indicate the demo restriction.
· Macro Lists not fully saved (8 items limit).
