Softpedia Editor's Review for plist Editor for Windows
|
A tool for editing MAC OS property list file under Windows system.
Written by Bogdan Popa on October 24th, 2011
Mac OS X and Windows users do get along lately, so those of you who are still working on the operating system developed by Microsoft have already experienced more or less of Apple’s taste.
One of the applications that can help Windows users work with Mac OS X files is plist Editor for Windows, a simple yet efficient software solution designed to help work with plist files.
Opening a property list file on Windows might be a bit difficult without a dedicated tool, so plist Editor could come in handy for those who work on multiple platforms at the same time.
Installing the software isn’t a big deal, that’s for sure, because all you need is to click next until you reach the final step of the installation.
The interface will definitely look familiar to all since it seems just an evolved version of the popular Notepad. Plist Editor has a very clean and simple appearance, so you shouldn’t really have problems working with it.
Of course, it is incredibly hardware friendly, which means your computer won’t even know that plist Editor is in use.
All in all, we weren’t quite impressed with the application, and such a tool would really need many more features besides syntax highlighting, as well as a new and a bit more attractive interface. Good thing it’s free, though.
