ASCII HEX URL Decoder 1.0
Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can drop the program files in any part of the hard disk and just click the executable to immediately launch the process.
Another option is to save ASCII HEX URL Decoder to a USB flash disk or other removable storage unit, in order to directly run it on any PC, as long as .NET Framework was previously installed.
Worth mentioning is that it does not change Windows registry settings or create extra files on the PC, thus leaving no leftover files after its removal.
Straightforward GUI and options
The interface is represented by a simple window with a minimalistic structure, divided into two main areas for inputting text and showing it decoded, respectively.
After typing or pasting URLs (setting multiple links split into different lines is possible), you can select the decoding method between value and context, and click a button to immediately get results.
ASCII HEX URL Decoder does not implement buttons for copying data to the Clipboard, printing it or saving it to file. However, it is possible to select text and copy it to the Clipboard with the global hotkey or via the context menu entry.
Evaluation and conclusion
As expected, CPU and RAM usage was minimal during our evaluation. We have not come across any issues, since the program did not hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. Made for advanced PC users, ASCII HEX URL Decoder offers fast and easy solutions for decoding ASCII code from URLs.
