As pretty much all members of the AutoCAD family, this program is packed with features and no job is too complex or difficult for it. The interface has that pro look that makes it clear from the get-go that it is meant for advanced users.
With all the functions neatly organized in menus that are displayed in the ribbon style GUI, AutoCAD MEP is able to handle common 3D graphical formats, so you should be able to easily import existing projects. In fact, for this purpose, it comes with a special feature called Content Browser that makes it very easy to identify the objects and designs you may want to work on and which were created with other AutoCAD tools.
Adding the necessary elements inside a project is quite easy to do, as all the needed tools and design components are one click away. Drawing and modifying the various parts or inserting new layers, annotations and configuring the transparency levels are possible as well.
Other useful functions of AutoCAD MEP are the ability to create point clouds, insert blocks, make schedules, calculate distances, areas and many more. The viewing options are quite diverse and the customizations in this respect, as well as a general characteristic of the application, are very numerous.
Thanks to the strong feature set that is comes equipped with, this software solution can prove to be one of the best in the business. Comprehensive documentation and many online resources that are linked to AutoCAD MEP make this product a highly competitive one.
