CAD Version Converter 1.0

As the name suggests, CAD Version Converter is a software program which allows you to change the version of AutoCAD drawings (DWG, DXF) into something else, namely AutoCAD 2004, 2000/2002, 14 or 13.

But you can also convert DXF items to the DWF format without changing the version. The tool can be seamlessly handled, even by novice users.

The interface of the tool consists of a standard window and uncomplicated layout. The "what you see is what you get" concept clearly applies to this app, as there are no other features available, aside from the ones visible in the main application window.

Loading items into the working environment can be done by using either the file browser or folder view. The "drag and drop" functionality is not integrated into the app, but it is possible to process multiple drawings at the same time. Once you specify the output directory and filename, you can proceed with the conversion procedure.

The simple-to-use tool does not put a strain on the computer's resources, since it consumes a very low amount of CPU and system memory. It has a good response time and quickly finishes a task. CAD Version Converter did not cause us any problems during our testing, such as hanging, crashing or displaying error dialogs.

On the downside, there are no extra features available. For example, you cannot configure program settings, such as making CAD Version Converter open the output location when the conversion is done. Plus, the app has never been updated. But, even so, CAD Version Converter delivers a pretty straightforward solution in regard to converting AutoCAD drawings.
