CurvFit is a handy piece of software that aims to provide you with all the necessary tools and a suitable environment for curve fittings. This said, the utility makes it simple for you to build and simulate mathematical functions, equations or curves.

Provided you already have Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime installed on your computer, you can start using the app immediately, right after a simple installation process.

CurvFit's interface is miles from being called stylish, as it features an old-school look that would be more suitable for past versions of Windows than for latest ones. Nevertheless, the main window of the app makes it rather simple to access CurvFit's main features.

Besides enabling you to input the parameters for your non-linear curves, define the control variables and calculate complex math models, the tool also comes with a dedicated Tips/Suggestions tab.

Probably the most important thing about CurvFit is its ability to create algebraic series of data such as Sine, damped Sine, Lorentz, Modified Lorentz, Power (Polynomial) and Exponential.

After you have entered all the parameters for your mathematical functions, you need to simply run your demo from the dedicated tab or from the Demos menu. No need to panic, as the application opens some new windows and automatically runs a DOS program using the DOSBox emulation utility.

With the help of the DOSBox, the app basically generates the resulted curve fitting. Within the window that encompasses the curve fitting, you can either visually observe it or adjust its color setup parameters and X,Y axes values.

CurvFit is an efficient software solution for curve fitting and even more so a very comprehensive learning tool. It may not be modern-looking, but it provides extensive documentation and does not overcomplicate things, like most apps of this sort often do.
