CurveExpert Basic

CurveExpert is a tool dedicated to both expert statisticians and students, enabling them to easily apply regression models for a data set and generate curve fits. It bundles predefined linear and non-linear regression models that can be applied to graphically represent data, while also enabling you to define your own functions.

The application can perform regression analysis and interpolation for large data sets, finding the best fit by comparing your input with each model.

Working with CurveExpert shouldn't pose problems, since its intuitive interface comprises simple menus and clear options. However, basic statistics and mathematics knowledge is required to understand the terminology.

As mentioned before, there are various regression models at your disposal, for which the application can easily generate a plot. It can perform linear or quadratic fit or apply exponential, yield-density, growth, sigmoidal, hyperbolic, sinusoidal, Gaussian and other models.

For each, it provides you with information concerning the used mathematical function, while automatically calculating important indicators (such as the standard error and the correlation coefficient), determining the covariance matrix and generating the residuals plot. By modifying the default regression parameters, you can alter the calculations CurveExpert performs.

You can easily configure the graph properties (title, borders), modify the scaling parameters and customize its appearance. Plots can be copied to the clipboard or printed on paper directly from the application.

CurveExpert covers the most important regression and interpolation models and is capable of automatically generating an accurate graphical representation of your data. It is a data modeling and graphing utility that any statistician should have in its toolbox.
