Function Grapher is a feature-packed application that enables you to create various types of graphs, from 2D and 2.5D to 3D. It primarily addresses users who work in the mathematical domain.
After a brief installation procedure, you are greeted by a standard window with a well-defined layout. So, you can create a 2D function graph by setting its properties concerning the equation form, coordinate type (Cartesian or polar), function, domain of variables, color and width.
In addition, you can fill in 2D table graph properties when it comes to the name, number of points, line and scatter plot, and curve smoothing. Plus, you can draw points and axes, create a point animation, use an expression calculator, as well as rotate about the coordinate of the axis.
Furthermore, you can specify the animation speed and number of frames, configure view settings (projection type and intervals), copy the project as a Bitmap image, as well as save the animation as an Audio Video Interleave item (AVI), just to name a few.
The comprehensive graph designing application is pretty high-demanding in regard to the CPU and system memory, includes a help file and supports some keyboard shortcuts. We have not come across any issues throughout our testing; the program did not hang, crash or display error notifications.
