Working with pictures doesn’t just mean owning a camera and organizing them in a collection. Pictures represent an important resource in various domains of activity, and can also be used for security. For this, and a lot more practices CryptaPix combines various operations related to picture management into a single, intuitive workspace.

The application’s visual design is a classic window frame with multiple panels neatly arranged to let you quickly accommodate. The center area is where the large preview is shown, with a navigator at the bottom, as well as a browser to easily go to the location of your collection.

On the one hand, the application can be used to organize your collection with built-in copy, move, clone, rename, and delete functions. Moreover, there’s an entire menu dedicated to folder management to cut the dependency of File Explorer.

There’s also a bin component which is more or less the bookmarks manager. Pictures can be sent there with little effort, with the possibility to target entire directory structures. However, you can just as well hit a button to add pictures to bin one by one as you view them.

For preview, you can either manually scroll, or initiate a slideshow with tons of configurable transition effects, and time options. Moreover, you have the possibility to build a stand-alone slideshow in the form of an EXE file.

Basic file and EXIF data can be viewed in a dedicated panel. However, edit options extend a little further thanks to the variety of effects you can apply. Either on the whole picture or a selected region pictures can be enhanced with different color tints, RGB level adjustment, gamma correction, red eye removal tool, sharpen, blur, rotate, flip, resize, and more.

Some security options are included as well. First, any picture can be encrypted or decrypted with a custom password. Second, there’s the possibility to hide other kind of files inside pictures through the steganography algorithm. Moreover, pictures can be saved under different formats with customizable quality.
