Fast Cryptor

Having a few files that you wish to encrypt is rather common, no matter whether you're using a shared computer or not. Whether for peace of mind, or simply from the desire to secure some files that are important to you, encryption tools exist to make the process accessible for all.

Fast Cryptor is a tool you can use to encrypt your files with a password, locking them behind the AES 256 EAX algorithm. Those files can later be accessed after a decryption procedure, which can be carried out just as well through this tool.

Even if you're not familiarized with software of this kind, this one is surprisingly easy to get the hang of. As it's a portable piece of software, there's no need to install anything: simply run it, and decide on the files to encrypt.

The interface is practical and easy to maneuver, and all it takes for you to start encrypting your files is selecting the Encryption interface, then dropping the files in. You'll have to input a password for the encryption, and on you go. This whole process shouldn't take more than a few seconds, so you won't exactly be waiting around here.

By default, when encrypting something, the unecrypted source file will still remain in the same location, as the program will create a separate, encrypted file alongside it. If you wish for the program to delete the source file upon encrypting it, you can toggle the Delete Source File option.

You'll need your password to decrypt previously encrypted files. The process is much the same, in that you'll simply have to locate the encrypted files via the program's interface, then unlock them using their respective password.

Fast Cryptor is an accessible piece of software, enabling users of all types to encrypt and decrypt their files with minimal effort. Though a more experienced user may find this one much too simple, it's still a solution to consider if all you're looking for is quick and easy encryption.
