Spy Screen is a lightweight and easy to use application designed to help you secretly monitor your computers' activity.
The application provides you with an easy to use interface, allowing both beginner and experienced users to keep tabs on the activity carried out on their PC. Easy access to features is definitely not an issue, as all the options are displayed in a single window.
What this application does is capture screenshots every nine seconds and save them to a user-defined location. Moreover, the program automatically creates a 'Copied Text' file and a 'Keystrokes' file, which records every move made by the current computer user. You can use the screenshots and the text files to view all your computers' activity while you are not using it.
In addition to this, you have the possibility to schedule the program to stop monitoring your PC when a maximum number of frames is reached.
Spy Screen can run silently in the system tray. In order to hide it from the user, you can even choose a customized taskbar icon for it, as well as add a text to be displayed when to cover its identity when hovering the mouse over the icon. For example, you can assign it a calendar icon or a Bluetooth icon, making it hard for anyone to suspect that it is really a keylogger.
In order to protect the recorded information from unwanted access, Spy Screen offers you the possibility to setup a password. This way, no one can access the application without knowing it, thus enabling only you to view the recorded data.
Despite this, it can be easily detected, because it remains visible in the Task Manager. Thus, the user can kill its process and stop the monitoring, even without knowing the password.
Spy Screen can only enable keystrokes and clipboard monitoring and periodically capture screenshots, so it does not offer as many features as other similar programs. For example, it cannot monitor the browser activity or the opened applications, but it is a useful program designed to help parents supervise their children's activity on the computer, as well as monitor a PC that has more than one user.
