It can get frustrating when every new service you connect to asks for a different password than other accounts. Sure enough, you run out of ideas quickly, but passwords can also be used as generators for encryption algorithms, and such. With this in mind, Password Generator can easily create different security keys with every mouse click.

On the one hand, the application requires no installation in order to function, meaning you can run it right after download is done, and even store it on a thumb drive to use on other computers. System registries remain perfectly safe, and this way the target computer doesn’t suffer from any stability issues.

All the application has to offer is stored in a compact main window. Its simplicity in design allows both beginners and experienced individuals to get acquainted with the set of features. There are two ways through which a password can be generated, one only requiring you to fill in a text box, apart from pressing the generate button.

The first way to generate a password is to trust entirely into what the application provides, with a new, random string of characters generated every time you hit the trigger button. The other works in the same way, but it adds a custom text string as a prefix. You need to manually copy them, because there’s no function to quickly send them to clipboard.

Unfortunately, you have absolutely no control over the whole operation. In other words, the application uses combination of lowercase and uppercase characters, as well as numbers. You can’t specify what types of characters to use, nor to force it to include symbols. Probably the most disappointing aspect is the lack of an option to set length.

All things considered, we can state that Password Generator does exactly what the name suggests, but in a really rough manner. Sure enough, a new password is generated every time you hit the trigger button, but with no options to set length, or characters to use, practicality quickly becomes questionable.
