SnadBoy's Revelation

SnadBoy's Revelation is an application that focuses on recovering lost or forgotten passwords hidden behind masked fields. It's small-sized, straightforward and has only a couple of options.

Following a fast and uneventful setup operation, you come face to face with a user-friendly interface, where all options are easily reachable, shown in plain sight in the main window.

Worth noting is that SnadBoy's Revelation can detect asterisk keys in any program, whether it's an offline application or a web browser, for example. There's a crosshair button in the window that has to be dragged and dropped over the box with the asterisks in order to unmask the target password.

The text appears in this window, which can be then copied to your clipboard and saved somewhere on your hard drive to make sure you won't forget the key again. The tool shows the length of available text (number of characters) and status.

You can ask the program to get minimized to the systray instead of the taskbar (so it gets out of your away when handling other desktop activities), hide the on-screen instructions, and keep its window on top of other applications. Also, the Revelation's window can be automatically repositioned when dragging the crosshair to it doesn't get in your way.

Unfortunately, the software project is no longer in development, which means that it won't receive any further updates. In fact, it hasn't been updated for ages. Even so, it had no trouble running on Windows 10 and we didn't have to launch its process in compatibility mode for older Windows editions.

Unsurprisingly, SnadBoy's Revelation left a small footprint on system resources consumption. Thanks to its clear-cut interface and options, it's ideal for casual users who wish to view passwords masked behind asterisk symbols.
