Most services which require registration also ask for a password to help keep credentials, and personal information safe. Sure enough it quickly becomes frustrating to come up with something new, and powerful every time. Luckily, specialized tools like Password Generators can be used to create strong security keys.
The package it comes in is pretty lightweight, requiring no installation to function, meaning it can easily be carried around on a thumb drive to use wherever necessary. Moreover, usage doesn’t make any changes in system registry entries, so the target PC is not affected.
Although it’s merely a command line utility, it doesn’t necessarily have to be run through the Command Prompt. Simply running it brings up a Command Prompt window with a generated password, and the possibility to have it saved to a TXT file. Note that confirmation requires a capital Y, and the TXT file is created in the application’s source folder.
On the other hand, the function can be also triggered through a Command Prompt instance. Unlike normally running the EXE, this keeps the window up to be able to generate more passwords. All of them use a standard configuration, with 8 character length, which combines alphabetical characters, numbers, symbols, punctuation, as well as both character casing states.
