Privacy Mantra is a freebie that can remove the traces of your previous browsing sessions, while also providing dedicated tools to clean unnecessary data.
It's all very easy to use because the program asks your from the very beginning which are the apps or locations you want to clean.
There are plenty of options to choose from, including web browsers (Google, chrome, Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox), Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, Photoshop, DirectX, Google Toolbar, Macromedia Dreamweaver, OpenOffice, MSN Messengers and others.
What's more, Privacy Mantra can check and delete unnecessary data from clipboard, crash log files, Recycle Bin, recent documents, temporary files, Windows Defender logs, Windows Error reports, open/save dialogs and Windows Mail recently used addresses.
In just a few words, it's enough to pick the items you want to clean and hit the “Analyze” button. The process doesn't take more than a few seconds, while it then shows tracks that can be removed, along with location, size, clean action and path.
A log file is also available in case you want to analyze data at a later time once again. The cleaning process again is very fast and doesn't slow down the system at all.
Administrator privileges on Windows 7 workstations however are needed.
All things considered, Privacy Mantra is clearly an effective product that does exactly what it says and nothing more. It has a powerful scanning engine and a plain and simple interface to interact with its users. There's no help file whatsoever, so this is one of the areas to be improved in the next releases.
