Softpedia Editor's Review for Window Washer
|
Clean up your browsers cache, cookies and more
Written by Bogdan Popa on November 10th, 2011
Window Washer is a software solution specifically designed to give you the power to tackle computer cleaning tasks without putting your data at risk.
Of course, a successful cleaning process brings enhanced performance and faster loading times in Windows, so Window Washer plays a key role in the overall maintenance of your computer.
Window Washer comes with a user-friendly and clean interface, but you must keep in mind that developers have called “washing” basically everything that means cleaning, so you’ll see this term all over the app.
In case you’re ready to wash, just press the start button and the application begins cleaning the computer with the standard settings, such as removing Internet data, temporary Windows files, recent activity files and other temporary and unnecessary data left on your hard drive by other tools.
Additionally, there’s also the option to customize the washing process, so you can change options regarding the programs to be included in the process, no matter if we’re talking about browsers, Windows tools or other apps.
What we found really useful during our test was the wash scheduling option that gives you the power to schedule a timed wash. This way, you can conduct a secure cleaning every 15 or 30 minutes or even once a day.
Beside the washing abilities, the application also comes with a tool to permanently delete files and folders, so that recovery tools won’t be able to restore your data.
All in all, Window Washer deserves a chance, not because it comes with a decent price, but thanks to the powerful features hidden under its hood.
