AdminLnk - Securely run admin programs from limited accounts directly or with shortcuts

Are you living on the edge, using an Administrator account because it's more convenient? Or maybe because you have a legacy program which won't run on any thing else?

Now you can keep all the convenience of an Administrator account AND have the security of a limited account. You can even allow other folks to use those legacy programs without giving them Admin accounts or passwords!

AdminLnk uses a Windows feature included in the NT Based Windows since NT 3.51; it allows an application to run as a different user, provided you have the login name and password. We have simply made it very easy for everyone to use.

AdminLnk will allow you to run any application immediately as a different user, or else you can create Admin-Links (Shortcuts) to your program with the login name and password securely encoded and hidden so anyone can run a single application with administrative rights without needing an admin account or password.

This little application is designed with ease-of-use in mind: AdminLnk clones the icon of the original shortcut, all you have to do is drag-and-drop the program or shortcut onto the Launch-Pad or type in the programs address.

It will even find the full address for common applications just from the program name; type regedit.exe into the command line and it will fill out the full path, something like C:Windowsregedit.exe.
