Hash Mash 1.0
Multiple supported algorithms
With Hash Mash, you can calculate the checksums for a multitude of words, phrases or even character sequences. You can enter any type of text you wish, in any language, as long as the special characters are supported. However, the software does not support importing files as input for generating hashes.
Hash Mash offers you several types of results, when calculating a checksum, since it supports many types of algorithms. Thus, the methods of calculating hashes in Hash Mash include MD4, SHA-1, SHA-2 (224), SHA-2 (225), SHA-2 (384), SHA-2 (512), SHA-3 (224), SHA-3 (225), SHA-3 (384), SHA-3 (512). Each of them describes a type of popular checksum used for security checks.
Additional character sequence generators
Aside from the common hash calculation algorithms, the software also enables you to generate checksums using the HEX and Base64 methods. HEX , also known as Base16, is a positional numeral system used in mathematics and computing, consisting of 16 characters. It uses both digits and the letters A through F, in upper or lower case.
Similarly, Base64 is a group of binary-to-text encoding algorithm that converts binary data to ASCII characters in a string sequence. In other words, it can translate binary data into a radix-64 representation. Moreover, Hash Mash supports UTF-8 encoding method for converting the input text and calculate the checksums.
Simple to use hash calculator
Hash Mash is lightweight and requires only that you enter the input text in the designated field. The user intervention ends at this point, by clicking the Calculate button. The software can return the results almost instantly and allows you to copy any if the character strings to clipboard, then paste them to other applications.
