The Homeland Security Monitor is a free application which monitors the current threat level

The Homeland Security Monitor is a free application which monitors the current threat level as posted at http://www.whitehouse.gov/homeland/.

When launched, this small executable sits in your system tray and checks the above mentioned website at five (5) minute intervals for any change. Should a change occur since the last check, an alert will play through your system sound card.

Three events are supported for sound effects:

Raised threat level
Lowered threat level
No change in threat level
