Secure Folder 6.7

Secure Folder is a software which provides a security system for your personal information. It lets you encrypt and lock folders.

The user interface of the program is plain and simple to use. Once you set a password, you have to enter it every time you initiate the application.

So, you can add folders to the queue (the "drag and drop" method is supported) and select an action - lock, hide or encrypt.

The difference between these three modes is that "Hide" will not display folders in Explorer, "Lock" only allows the user to view folders (but their content cannot be accessed), while "Encrypt" enables the user to view and access files.

Furthermore, you can combine the security measures for a particular folder (e.g. Lock + Hide, Lock + Encrypt, Lock + Hide + Encrypt), change your current password, minimize the program to system tray or select "Lock and Exit".

But you also have other options at your disposal - "Drive Manager" (e.g. hide a drive, create a virtual drive), "System Cleaner" (clean your system of junk files, shred files), "Recover Locked Folder" and "Take Snapshot".

Also, you can add Secure Folder to the context menu, run the Cleaner on exit, hide the "Securities" tab, enable the tool to automatically check for updates, change the visual style etc.

The software uses a low amount of system resources but doesn't include a user manual. However, Secure Folder is simple to use even by beginners. We haven't come across any problems during our tests.

The only downside of the app is that its additional modules (the ones found in the “Tools” menu) are not very extensive (e.g. “System Cleaner” doesn't cover nearly as many areas as it should).

Secure Folder has truly evolved since our last revision of the software and now it manages to provide users with an enhanced solution for protecting their private information. We strongly recommend it.
