USB Copy Protection

USB Copy Protection provides a convenient method to protect the data stored on USB removable drives. Despite its name, the application is not exclusively designed for flash drives and mobile devices, enabling you to manage user permissions for local or network folders.

The application aims to protect the content stored on a portable or a local drive, preventing unauthorized access to important or confidential documents. It can easily restrain the user rights for copying, moving, modifying, erasing or printing all types of files.

The wizard-based interface is a real guideline in the endeavor to encrypt a directory or a whole drive. In just four simple steps, you can assign a password to the target location and configure the digital rights for each computer user.

USB Copy Protection can remove the reading and / or writing access to a folder. It enables you to create a custom access policy that offers each user more or less rights. You are the one to decide what the end user can and can’t do with a file.

Users may or may not be allowed to modify, run, copy, paste, delete and rename files, create new folders and files, import and export files. The application can be set to disable the clipboard in the target location or even set time limits, which will withdraw the access rights after a certain date. It can hide certain folders, filter directory access by IP address and automatically run a file when the folder is opened.

There are three encryption strength levels that USB Copy Protection can apply. The ‘Normal’ one hides and locks folders, while higher levels provide faster speed and more efficient crypting methods.

USB Copy Protection can be used either for restricting access to files or assign them full use rights. It provides more than a simple copy protection system, preventing others from making modifications to your content without permission.
