USB Flash Security++

USB removable devices are often used as a backup or file transfer means, so private or important data might end up on such portable drives. Additional protection methods are a must. Fortunately, there are applications that can help you password-protect your data and files and one of them is suggestively called USB Flash Security++.

This application is capable of assigning a password to your drive, so as to prevent unauthorized access to its contents. It only requires you to deploy it directly on the USB stick and define the security key, so using it shouldn't pose any problem to anyone.

USB Flash Security++ automatically detects all the USB drives that are connected to your computer, displaying hardware information about each one, in separate tabs. As such, you can view the device model, its total storage capacity, the available space, the file system type (FAT32, NTFS and exFAT are supported), the vendor and the product ID, as well as the serial number.

The application is compatible with USB flash drives of up to 64 GB in size, unlike the other editions that support a different storage capacity. It is configured to protect the whole drive, but you are free to change the size of the protected area.

Once it is installed on a USB drive, the shield created by USB Flash Security++ becomes active and the drive is automatically locked when you unplug it from the PC. Drive formatting and data recovery are additional functions that USB Flash Security++ comes with.

USB Flash Security++ is a good way to protect all the data on your USB flash drive. Not only that the access to the removable device is protected by a password, but the content is encrypted using the AES algorithm.
