Backup Scheduler description
Automatically backup your important data at input given times.

Galaxy Technology has developed Backup Scheduler to provide a comprehensive utility for backing up your data automatically at times of your choosing.

It is highly configurable, allowing you to define multiple profiles. For example, you could define a profile to backup your email every day at 5:30pm and another profile to backup your documents every Tuesday and Friday at 8:00am.

Backups can be of entire directories or to compressed zip files. Email notifications can be sent indicating success or failure of backups

Backup Scheduler's unique revolving backup feature allows for disaster recovery even after data corruption. For example, corruption of your email data files such as Outlooks' PST file or the DBX files of Outlook Express is not uncommon. Tools are available to recover data from these files but all of them result in losing a lot of your emails.

Using a simple daily backup does not provide complete protection against this scenario as sometimes the corruption can take several days to become apparent. Therefore when you restore the backup from the night before you are restoring already corrupted data.

The revolving backup feature of Backup Scheduler solves this problem by keeping a copy of the backup from every day of the previous week, one for each of the previous 4 weeks and one for each of the previous 6 months. Due to this you will be able to roll back the most recent backup that includes valid data.
