Self-extracting backups and standard Zip archives
· CyberScrub BackUp doesn't use proprietary archive formats as other backup programs do. It uses the standard Zip file format. This makes it very easy to restore data manually form the BackUp archive even if CyberScrub BackUp is not installed.
· You may choose to create self-extracting archives that will allow you to un-zip even if you don't have a compression tool.

Version control, incremental and differential BackUps
· CyberScrub BackUp provides a version control mechanism that allows you to back up only changed files. You can always view the differences between the current files and the last BackUp in a special view box that marks them in different colors.
· It can operate in incremental or differential modes to back up only new/changed files, or to delete from the current BackUp the files that no longer exist in the source location.

Before/After commands
· You may select external programs to run before the BackUp will start or after it ends. You may also shut down the computer automatically after the BackUp task is completed.

· File filtering to back up only specific files based upon your designated criteria. Users may filter selected files using filename masks- for example users may choose to back up only .doc files in a certain folder or exclude all .exe files from another folder.

· Backup to virtually any storage device: Local folders, Local Area Network (LAN), CD/DVD, removable devices (USB drives, memory sticks, flash memory, floppy disks, ZIP disks, JAZ, etc.), remote FTP servers, etc.

Backup Windows Registry

· CyberScrub BackUp creates extensive log files of all BackUp operations, including data source, start & end times, elapsed times, summary information, operation status, possible warnings and errors.

· CyberScrub BackUp provides a synchronization option for your data- you may synchronize any files and folders from one computer with another ( such as your work laptop with your personal computer); you may also synchronize files and folders from a local computer with external locations such as: LAN locations, removable devices (floppy, USB Stick, Memory Card) or FTP locations.
