EASIS Data Recovery (formerly Data LifeSaver)
EASIS Data Recovery is a software application specialized in recovering data in case of several scenarios, such as computer crash, virus attack, lost or deleted files, formatted hard drives, as well as deleted partitions. The tool comes with support for recovery of the original directory structure, file and folder names.
The recovery process is based on a wizard that offers step-by-step guidance throughout the entire task. This approach is suitable especially for less experienced users.
EASIS Data Recovery gives you the possibility to choose between two recovery modes: full data recovery and quick undelete files and folders.
The full data recovery takes a considerably longer time than the second one because it provides a complete scan of partitions and hard drives after formatting, deletions or other types of disastrous events.
The second one only looks for files that have been deleted from your system, and lets you filter the information by selecting the types of files to search (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, video, music, photos, MIDI files, PDF items, HTML files), groups (e.g. Documents, Database, Video, CAD, Spreadsheets), and custom file extensions (e.g. DOC, RTF, XLS, JPG).
In addition, you may save a recovery mode to a file so you can easily import it in the future and continue with the process.
Recovery features, searches and configuration settings
EASIS Data Recovery helps you scan a custom disk image file and select the target partitions. At the end of the job, you can view the retrieved data displayed with the aid of an Explorer-like layout, along with information about each recovered item, such as name, extension, size, creation date, attributes, as well as date when it was modified and last accessed.
You may also perform searches for files and folders by specifying the filename and location, and applying filters (date and size). Previewing the items can be done via Windows features.
The program offers you the freedom to select the files that you want to recover, refresh the disk, create a disk image (IMG file format), as well as configure several tweaking parameters, such as specify the path for the temporary files and alter the recovery engine (e.g. show NTFS system files, search FAT file systems, force recovery without FAT).
A reliable recovery program
All things considered, EASIS Data Recovery delivers an efficient and straightforward approach for helping you retrieve lost data. It is quite fast and offers very good recovery results but it eats CPU and memory so the overall performance of the computer may be affected.
