Discovery Recovery is an easy-to-use yet powerful application that will provide fast and easy recovery of permanently deleted files and data. Dedicated photo recovery and support. Will work with any disk drive, device or media even if corrupted or reformatted. 

One-click operation for immediate recovery. Discovery Recovery will read NTFS and FAT 32, 16 and 12 file systems (commonly used on cameras). DR can forensically scan for additional files by analysing file signatures and also uses intelligent pattern recognition to locate even more potentially recoverable files.
 
Advanced scanning technology excludes mapped data as it progresses and forensically scans only those areas populated with unallocated data. This enables Discovery Recovery to cope with the largest of the new high capacity drives with unrivalled efficiency.

When first used, Discovery Recovery runs in safe mode as a 'stand-alone' portable application requiring no installation, and will run recovery operations by simply clicking the executable file. It can also be copied and run from anywhere including memory sticks.

Discovery Recovery has an integrated viewer to pre-view listed files and data. When examining data, non-ascii characters are filtered out to enable easy content identification.

Images files are automatically rendered for convenience. Because photos can be the most precious of files, DR also has a dedicated photo support mode. With one click, DR will test render every deleted image and part image on a drive or device and display exactly what's recoverable.

DR has file repair functionality and will reconstruct fragmented image files providing they're not too badly damaged. The unregistered version has no time limitations or expiry date and will recover files up to a megabyte in size. Registration also unlocks th ability to wipe selected file traces (XP only)
