Disk Usage and Backup Tool displays a graph of your disk space usage per folder.

It also has a facility for comparing two folders and listing differences, and finally the ability to perform a differential backup of only modified/new files in a folder to a new folder.

There is no compression, but the files remain accessible even without the software tool since the backup is made by file copies.
