MS Access Password Detection description
Will recover lost MS Access passwords quickly and easily.
MSAPD is for those Microsoft Access databases that has a password and was forgotten or lost. This works on Password protected databases not on "USER Password protected" ones.
With the built in file explorer, use it to locate the database and highlighting it, you then click the OK button. The text box will either display the password or that the database doesn't have one.
You can also click on the Clear button to remove a password from the Access dB 95/972000 safely without corrupting your database.
Note: Will work on Access 95/97/2000, this will not work on earlier versions of Access then those listed.
Here are some key features of "MS Access Password Detection":
· Safe
removal of Access 95/97 password, earlier versions would not allow you to password protect the database again; version 4 removes the password or will allow you to enter a new password.
· Password removal from Access 2000 (not tested on 2002) and it is a safe removal too with the same features as 95/97. Earlier versions would not remove an Access 2000 database.
· Better Access 2000 password retrieval (please note: at this time the database must have the correct creation date you will not be able to access the password. The creation date will change if the database is downloaded, extracted from an archive file (if the archive file changes the date, in some cases you can preserve the date) and when the database is copied. If the password is incorrect, it will allow you to view a list of possible passwords (will not display control characters or encrypted database passwords)
· New status bar on the bottom that shows file creation date, if the MSAPD is registered or if there is an error with the program.
· Registration now starts right after you enter the information where before you had to exit MSAPD then restart.
· No more PID files (Password Identification), as the program now shows all possible passwords
· No more DLL, now the program creates the PID information artificially so the data in the DLL is no longer needed.
Limitations:
· The unregistered version will display only the first 3 characters
