The Mofiki's Eve Settings Backup & Restore application was designed to help you backup your data.

When you run the backup there will be a pause before it begins while it creates a folder called backup in the utilities working directory and Verifies that the files are there. (this pause time is based on your cache size in EVE)

After the pause you will see a progress bar as the files are backed up. The same pattern will occur on Restore.
