ReStor has several unique features that set it apart from other backup solutions.

ReStor backs up just about any kind of data including your PST File (email), Windows system files and the Registry.

There is no longer a need to set off your backup overnight. ReStor has a small memory footprint and operates in the system idle time to minimize the impact on the user experience. This enables frequent backups to be created in the background whilst you are using the computer with no impact on the system's performance.

The built in scheduler ties in neatly with ReStor’s low system resource utilisation. Regular backup operations can be scheduled by time, date, frequency and you can specify which data you wish to back up. Each backup creates a restore point which means the user can easily and quickly locate and restore any previous version of a file or folder.

ReStor will allow back up to a remote or local data repository. Having a remote backup repository gives the reassurance of being able to restore your data from a more serious problem such as hard disk failure or computer theft.

ReStor complements the net-runna Enterprise software continuity imaging and deployment tools by replacing user data following a deployment or migration.

ReStor uses next generation data storage where data is never duplicated. The data repository uses Single Instance Storage. Single Instance Storage means ReStor only backs up new or changed data. The benefit of this is that your backup will occur faster and the size of your backup is much smaller and easier to manage.

For example if you backup all your emails, on the first backup the entire email file is copied. If a new email is received and a second backup of your email file is done then only the section of the backup containing the new email is added to the backup. This is much faster and more efficient than copying the entire email file on every backup. All data backups are compressed and encrypted using industry standard 128 bit encryption.
