Access Password Recovery

Access Password Recovery is a Windows application designed to help you recover passwords to Microsoft Access files, namely those that have the .mdb, .mdw or .mda extension. According to the developer, it's compatible with Microsoft Access 95, 97, 2000 and XP, so the tool hasn't receive updates for a significant amount of time. However, our tests have shown that it works with newer Access editions, too.

The tool is wrapped in a user-friendly interface made from a single window that immediately puts all options at your disposal. It's only necessary to locate and select a supported file using the built-in file explorer, whether it's .mdb, .mdw or .mda. The password is automatically detected by the program, so there's no need to press any buttons to trigger the password scanning operation.

Please keep in mind that it's not possible to view the password, not even partially, without first buying the full version of the software product. You can also see whether or not the password recovery job was successful, along with the number of characters. Batch processing isn't supported, which means that you cannot instruct the tool to decrypt the passwords of multiple Microsoft Access database files at the same time. It's not necessary to have MS Access installed.
