Ultimate Key Finder 3.0
Scans the registry to retrieve the product key for Microsoft products from the Office suite, as well as Exchange Server and SQL Server
Having a backup of the serial keys is highly recommended, considering that you might need to reinstall all your programs in case of hard disk malfunctions or if the PC gets infected by viruses. Ultimate Key Finder can scan the registry, extract and retrieve all the keys it finds.
As it is only supposed to serve this purpose, Ultimate Key Finder features a simplistic and intuitive interface that only displays the CD keys found in the registry.
It can extract keys for the Microsoft Office suite (2003, 2007 and 2010 editions), the Windows operating system (Windows Vista, 7, 8), Microsoft Exchange Server and SQL Server instances. Although it is aimed at Microsoft products, the application can also recover lost keys for other utilities as well, such as some Adobe products or games.
The application comes with high detection speed, since it takes only a second to detect the keys stored on your system. The list of found keys can be easily exported to the computer in CSV format, which enables you to create a backup, in case you haven’t already.
Network administrators can also find this application useful, since it allows them to find out the licenses used on a certain computer, thus making sure that the keys are not used on multiple workstations and avoiding possible licensing and copyright-related issues.
Ultimate Key Finder is very easy to use and helps you retrieve product keys without a lot of hassle. On the downside, it only supports a limited number of applications. Therefore, it is advisable that you write down the serial keys for installed products or store backups in a safe place.
