CIA - Copy It Anyway
CIA - Copy It Anyway is a small Windows application whose sole purpose is to help you copy corrupted files that cannot be copied to other location due to different errors.
It sports a clean and straightforward layout that gives users the possibility to add files to the list by using the built-in browse function or “drag and drop” support.
The application is able to copy only files, so it doesn’t offer support for moving directories from one location to another.
CIA - Copy It Anyway lets you choose the folder where the files are copied, view statistics about the overall copying process (e.g. errors, elapsed time), analyse a report which can be saved to a plain text file, play sound notifications when detecting errors, and integrate the program into Windows Explorer.
You don’t need special computer skills for working with this tool, as even rookies can master the process with just a few clicks.
During our testing we have noticed that CIA - Copy It Anyway carries out a task quickly, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process.
As it would be expected from such a small utility, it manages to remain light on the system resources, so it doesn’t hamper system performance, nor interfere with other applications’ functionality.
All things considered, CIA - Copy It Anyway offers a simple software solution when it comes to copying corrupted files from one location to another. Although it cannot be considered the most powerful tool on the market, it does what it says and is suitable especially for less experienced users.
