Duplicate Music Files Finder is an easy to use application designed to help you discover duplicate music files and remove them, thus keeping the music collection organized and save disk space.

Although it's easy to use, you still need to configure the program before looking for duplicates, so in case you're not familiar with the “Comparison Mode” options, it's better to have a look in the comprehensive help manual included in the app.

In just a few words, there are multiple methods to search for duplicates, as it follows: file name (exact matches only), file size, CRC matches or advanced file matching, which is a more complicated method that needs further customization.

Once you specify a folder to scan, Duplicate Music Files Finder completes the process in just a few seconds, giving you the option to select and remove some of the duplicates.

There are two additional tools, “Quick Rename Music Files” and “Quick Rename File Tags” both supposed to scan a specific folder and let you rename files with a few clicks.

Still, what's more important is the “Options” screen that holds settings for all tools bundled into the app. For example, if you wish to configure the two aforementioned tool, you have to check the settings and define the rules for file renaming, including the dedicated options for removing track number at the beginning, removing brackets and certain words.

Of course, the application works quite smooth and fast and there's no problem to run it on any Windows version out there. Still, it seems to return some errors on Windows 7, so these are probably minor compatibility issues.

All in all, Duplicate Music Files Finder is a handy tool, that's for sure, but it still needs a few improvements to become a top product.
