The purpose of Easy Index Generator is to enable quick and simple creation of hypertext index files (files of contents) for any files types, making it easy to see an overview of the website and get the quick access to HTML pages, graphics, media files, shared documents, applications, etc.

Also you can use these files for writing CD-ROM with any kind of Data, creating CHM (HTML Help) project, etc. You can specify which types of files will be indexed and sort the items by moving them up and down, creating logical sections.

The same time you can select one of existing four output file types:

As a single HTML file with the list of the indexing files;

As frameset consisting of a HTML file of the frame structure and the HTML file of contents. These present the hierarchy of files in the left frame so you can view their contents in the right frame;

As HHC file (HTML Help Contents File), which is used in CHM (HTML Help) files;

As a combination of HHC and a single HTML file of contents with placing of generated HTML file in the beginning of HHC list. Easy Index Generator can create two types of tree menus of indexed files in a target HTML file: static menus and click-to-open menus.

Easy Index Generator gives you the possibility to set different options not only to operate creation of an index file, but also to diversify functionalities of the program.

All established parameters and attributes upon termination of the program are remembered and at the following start of the program are restored.

Generated index file (files) automatically will be placed in the indexing folder.
