Automated data acquisition with TWedge - Keyboard Wedge, Software Wedge, Barcode Wedge TWedge extends arbitrary software systems or databases with real-time data acquisition services.
Modifications of the target system are not required! Within seconds device data from RS232, RS485, USB, Bluetooth or TCP/IP interfaces is captured with arbitrary applications, databases or ERP systems (e.g. barcode-scanner, scales, gauges, controller, PLC, RFID controllers, RFID tags, ...).
With TWedge you can automatically read data from external devices. The captured data is reliable transferred to target applications (e.g. to SAP R/3) via direct database (ODBC) or file access, or by simulating keystrokes (keyboard wedge mode). Each data acquisition requirement is solved by TWedge in an elegant, cost-effective and flexible way.
This software wedge operates as background application (like the system clock), receives device data automatically and forwards it to target applications or databases via multiple methods in real time. Because of the script-based approach TWedge can be configured to meet all your requirements!
