Softpedia Editor's Review for DriveSpacio
|
Manage your drive space with this tool.
Written by Gabriela Vatu on April 10th, 2013
As hard drives have become larger and larger, managing the available space has also become difficult. DriveSpacio is a nice program that was designed to help you manage the drive space.
The app has a simple interface and a clean layout, making it easy to figure out by all users.
First, you must choose which drive you want to scan with the help of this tool. Once this is selected, the scanning process takes a few seconds, but it depends on the number of files that occupy the drive and their size.
You may view all the drives information, such as the file system, total size, free and allocated space, cluster size and many more. Once you select a drive you may view all the existing directories in the order of their size. The folders are marked in blue, while the wasted space is marked with red.
Clicking on any of the bars lets you go deeper inside the folders and view all the available subfolders and files that are included there.
Alternatively, you may view the folder composition in a pie chart, with the biggest folders being marked out in various colors, depending on their size. You may also see all the folders in a tree view, complete with their overall size.
All in all, DriveSpacio is a useful tool that can help you gain a better view of the disk drive and the files and folders that fill it. Less experienced users should have no issues while installing and working with the program, thanks to the intuitive interface and its overall simplicity.
