RFSTOOL description |
|
|
Allows you to access ReiserFS partitions from a Windows system.
RFSTOOL allows you to access ReiserFS partitions from a Windows system. Starting with version 0.6, it even allows you to access ReiserFS partitions from Linux.
It is a complete rewrite of the ReiserFS functions needed to list directories or access files. Note: This product was previously named "reiser4win", but renamed due to the possible name conflict with the upcoming new version of ReiserFS, "Reiser4".
The application is a complete rewrite of the ReiserFS functions needed to list directories or access files.
Requirements:
· For NT/2000/XP: You need administrative privileges to run this program. Normal users will probably not have the access rights to the raw partition data. · You need to know the drive and partition index of the ReiserFS partition you want to read. Luckily, the new version includes an autodetect feature.
Limitations:
· Access is read-only.

· Symlinks should work now and will be listed in the directory (e.g. "symlink -> target")
· The first status flag now can be "l" for symlinks, "b" for block devices and "c" for character devices. Of course, it can also be "d" for directory and "-" for regular files.
· Removed useless copyright header; output is now the blank directory listing; you can use "-v" to show the version info if you really really care
· "." and ".." now will be marked as "d"(irectories)
· rfstool will be included in future versions of LTOOLS
